美国人任命了Henry Paulson为美国财长，这是一个非常明智的选择。

究竟有多少人了解中国，我想即使在上海的市民也有70%的人不很了解中国。 上海不是中国，北京不是中国。就如当年加入世贸的时候， 美国人以两点要求中国以发达国家加入世贸。1. 没有一个发展中国家可以承办奥运会。2. 没有一个发展中国家能有像上海这样的城市。

美国人了解的是中国每年8%以上的GDP增长，他们不知道其中的水份。美国人知道上海，他们不知道其他省会城市是什么样。美国人知道每年的贸易逆差，他们不知道中国目前的就业形势。美国人知道中国是个独裁国家，他们不知道其时人民根本不关心这个。美国人知道中国遍地是假货，他们难道自己不喜欢这个？ 所以，美国人会说中国威胁论。

那天和洲际酒店集团的人聊天， 洲际的人也对老外在中国盲目扩张提出了异议。品牌酒店在二三线城市拼命扩张，在类似攀枝花，鄂尔多斯，二连浩特这种城市去建HolidayInn, 投资商如何得到回报？ 中国只有一个上海，中国只有一个北京，只有在这种城市，客房率才会居高不下。

Henry Paulson是一个中国通，他徒步去过云南的雨崩，他知道中国地域经济的差异，他了解中国，所以让他在处理中美日益升级的经济摩擦，小布什也终于做了一件还算明智的事情。

    但我觉得象美国这样纯粹只知有己不知有人的国家，他的财长即使在中国最艰苦的地方流浪过，也不会放过在类似加入世贸的事件中把中国打压成发达国家的机会的——什么叫做国家利益？而我觉得美国的习惯是不惮为这睁眼说瞎话的。
