韦伯--单簧管五重奏
韦伯（Weber,Carl Maria（Friedrich Ernst）1786~1826）德国浪漫乐派作曲家。他的父亲是个音乐家兼剧场经理，母亲是个演员，在剧场环境下长大的韦伯，耳濡目染下，所做的工作免不了与戏剧有关，韦伯较为后人熟知的音乐作品以歌剧为主。起初，韦伯的父亲想要将他培养成莫札特一般的神童，他四岁开始学钢琴，而后在萨尔兹堡跟随海顿的兄弟，麦克·海顿学音乐。1798年韦伯至慕尼黑深造，以钢琴家的身分巡回演出，1801年至1816年韦伯在许多地方担任从事指挥的工作，但都是指挥他人的歌剧作品，而非自己的作品。韦伯最受欢迎的作品，也是现今唯一一部保存完整的歌剧「魔弹射手」在1821年于柏林首演，大获成功，将韦伯的音乐事业推到高点。
这首单簧管五重奏是出自韦伯的歌剧「希凡娜」中的主题曲，作品承袭18世纪浪漫乐派的传统，能让演奏者充分发挥其灵敏纯熟的技巧，超越古典主义的范畴，呈现韦伯特有音乐风格之精髓。
亨利·拜尔曼--单簧管五重奏
亨利·拜尔曼（Heinrich Josef Baermann1784~1847）是普鲁士（德国）作曲家，在音乐史的浪漫时期，拜尔曼是着名的音乐家族，亨利·拜尔曼的哥哥卡尔一世（Carl Baermann，1782~1842）是低音管名家，他和儿子卡尔二世（Carl Baermann，1810~1885）则活跃于单簧管的演出与创作，亨利的孙子卡尔三世（Karl Baermann，1839~1913）则以钢琴演奏着称，曾拜李斯特为师，后移民美国。
这首乐章改编自亨利·拜尔曼所写的第三首（单簧管五重奏），降E大调，作品第23号，是首很受欢迎的音乐会曲目，曾被改编成不同的版本，包括单簧管六重奏，八重奏，室内乐版等，以及单簧管与钢琴合奏版等。
单簧管五重奏在室乐中并不多见，Antony Michaelson的演奏色彩鲜明，音色优美，值得珍藏。
